In 2019 I plan on dedicating more blog-time to book reviews and distance myself even more from the negative “news-picture.“

After venturing down the rabbit hole of reading about politics and current challenges I registered myself to vote for the first time in 2017. I wanted to get involved with politics on the lowest level of government in my local area but found out that I was not eligible. In 2018 I finished reading the entire Holy Bible which was something that I had declared that I would do on my Instagram page, it took me over a year! I’ve never spent more time going over a text! In addition I also read other texts such as “The Prose Edda“ by Snorri Sturluson. My spiritual journey culminated with my Confirmation. I also did two successful fundraisers for my local area which certainly was a first!

“Sexism in a woman’s state of birth and in her current state of residence both lower her wages and likelihood of labour force participation and lead her to marry and bear her first child sooner,” they wrote. Read the full article here.
I’ll include this warning from a doctor at the NHS in England; I’ve read plenty of other articles about the same topic this year. It is alarming.
