“Be Yourself” they said!!! :O

The number one advice spewed out into the social media world by successful “influencers” is: “Be Yourself!”

Just the other day I was looking for some information regarding music gear and stumbled upon a music vlog where the host was sitting bare-chested, clearly intoxicated, mumbling barely audible instructions into his microphone.

I’ve been in the receiving end of links to brand new YouTube channels featuring hosts doing everything in their power to come across as hyperactive, frantic and basically crazy.

Advising people to just be themselves makes it easier for smooth talking charlatans or brand aware entrepreneurs to gain even more ground while their potential competitors self-sabotage by simply “being themselves.”

Let’s take a look at the way that I’ve used Instagram in the past for an instance.

I did my first post on the social media site in 2014 after receiving my first smart phone.

What did I post? A photo of the Ancient Aliens box set I received for Christmas. Currently my like count on the picture stands at: 22

Now Instagram was never our number one marketing tool. I did not have much of a following on there, had other pages that were our main focus and was never consistently  active on the site.

Fast forward to 2019 and so far this year I’ve posted 51 posts with:

  • 38 of them falling into the “self-promotion“ category (since they are photos/videos of me),
  • 2 of the pictures are still of me but they are joke posts, (so that’s 40 out of 51 pictures being of me),
  • 3 are of fans (pictures sent to me from my followers posing with my CD)
  • 5 are of personal objects including artwork for sale and
  • 3 features written text (a giveaway instruction, a thank you flier and a screenshot of my Twitter)

Any picture of me whether professional or self-taken has over a 100 likes with many going into the 200 likes category etc;

Music posts with clips from my music videos + pictures of me = awesome.

Pictures of personal objects and/or text/quote posts = not so much.

Which is what I observed when going through my Instagram posts from previous years and why I made a conscious decision to change things.

The irony of course is that someone might look at all of this drawing the conclusion that this “commander-in-chief chick” must surely be a narcissist!

Several years ago I remember that a photo of me rehearsing with a bare belly was uploaded to Facebook and the reaction was of course very positive.

This was not done to fish for compliments or to boost a fragile ego, it was put out there to increase buzz and social media reach!

This is why online-profiling can be so very inaccurate, because what is more important to you? Posting a picture from your favourite passage of a book receiving maybe 30 likes or posting a photo that gets you 300 likes and lots of engagement from your followers? The more people engage the more your content spreads which is why it is wrong to claim that “unfiltered-be-yourself“ content seals the deal!

Likewise I love writing on my blog. It is my number one favourite hobby yet even though I’m not a beauty blogger I find that my number one most popular entry of all times is the one that I wrote about skincare!

Blog posts where I write about myself or posts featuring pictures of me even if there is no interesting content in the post itself gets lots of buzz.

Self-help is also high on the list along with “how to“ articles.

What do I prefer to write about? The world, society, ideas, thoughts, books. I like to think about ideas and concepts so if I was to be myself I would just write about this while bombarding my Instagram page with all sorts of nonsense that wouldn’t mean anything to anybody else but myself!

What do I like more than anything else?

To sell music because this is ultimately what I’m all about and what I know!

This is my passion, my craft and my talent!

So keep this in mind next time someone tells you to just be yourself on the internet! ❤

My 2nd Blog Book.

Today I set a great deal of my blog entries to Private for the simple reason that I intend to create another book.

Nobody pays me to write on this blog and as I’ve said before: I started this since there was a demand for me to share whatever I’m up to.

After two years of publicly blogging I decided to create my first blog-book. I realised that there were enough entries for two books: one about my experiences as an artists and another one dedicated to opinion pieces and book reviews.

New Book

My artist book contains so much useful knowledge that it could and should be synced up to speaking engagements etc; which is why I put it together but decided to publish it on another occasion.

I did however release a blog book which can be purchased via Blurb. You can see it to your right if you are reading this on a computer or you can find a link to it if you keep on scrolling downwards.

My apologies if you are looking for entries that are now unavailable!

I publish as I write, which means that my content is available for free for a considerable amount of time.

I will also make some changes to the topics that I address this year since my most popular entries are the ones about beauty and self-help!

I will continue to write book-reviews but will cut down on news-related entries.

If you don’t want to pay for what I write I urge you to pay close attention to when I release something.

If WordPress keeps on being a thing and nothing strange happens then you can expect that entries written in 2019 & 2020 will be set to Private in 2021!

Thanks a lot for reading my blog, please make sure that you check out my other work!

The Enlightened Ones.

The reality of freedom of speech and absolute liberation is something that can only be experienced if you:

  1. Flag your political alignments in the middle of a street surrounded by strangers.
  2. Wear any form of apparel in public with a controversial statement.
  3. Create a profile on the social media site Gab.

The truth is that most of what we perceive as “freedom of speech” is curated. Whether we are looking at published works and opinion pieces or interactions on forums and social media sites.

This in combination with the people who you are exposed to might create an illusion of respect and rationality.

Many would find themselves stunned if exposed to the meaning and implications of liberty since it reveals how incredibly irrational humans are.

Yet, who is to define what is rational or not? And by which standard?

Everyone considers themselves rational and/or righteous regardless of how misguided and lost they are in relation to facts, solid evidence and/or consistent witness accounts.

With that in mind I’ll paste in two of my latest Tweets.

My WordPress Scare & How Easy It Is To Fuel Conspiracy Theories.

This is what happens when the internet landscape is filled to the brim with conspiracy theories & fake news stories find their way into any mainstream media outlet; you start seeing bogeymen lurking around every corner.

Take all of that and add in real-news stories of people who either get demonetised or have their pages blocked and of course your instant assumption will be that you’ve been internet-martyred if one of your pages disappear…

I actually have a fan base in Iran and recently received an Instagram message from a fan complaining that he couldn’t purchase my latest album due to the sanctions imposed on his territory.

PayPal, Visa cards, etc; the infrastructure that we take for granted in the Western world has been completely shut down.

I’ve mentioned it in passing before but I’ll mention it again; big companies are in theory more powerful than Nation States due to the fact that they have a global reach and influence by default. With our current digital infrastructure major companies have demonstrated how a future might look like when these type of structures have “enforcement methods.“

A heavy metal label was shut down and forced out of business since “banking“ deemed them politically incorrect,“ so this was not a Nation State or a government, but private companies making this decision.

This type of behaviour has created a great deal of outrage when public people have found themselves banned from Twitter.

Once again not necessarily government actions, but decisions made by private companies.

With this in mind an infrastructure update or something mundane can all of a sudden turn into something monstrous or become further evidence that “big brother“ is getting ever bigger and ever nastier!

I’ve gotten so used to posting updates and writing opinion pieces on this WordPress account of mine that I was left completely perplexed when my page was down for the count last evening.

Happy I shared the awesome news that we had received Our First Movie Credit!!! but after writing the post I saw that it was impossible for the outside world to actually view and access my WordPress.

Of course I suspected that the speech-mafia had come across my wrong-think. I was in internet-mourning mood, a black band on one of my arms would have been fitting to mark the grievous occasion, because the truth is that I really quite enjoy writing.

After having blogged regularly since early 2015 it has turned into a proper habit.

The beauty of it is that you don’t have to wait to get published or go through any gate-keepers.

So I wondered … could this be linked to me contacting EU representatives? After YouTube encouraged their creators to get vocal about Article 13 I did my part & made a video about it even though I never post political content on my YouTube.

I did what you are supposed to do in the democratic west: signed a petition & contacted political representatives.

To my great surprise I actually received replies!

Due to this I will make a follow-up video, both to share the replies that I received from the conservative side & the labour side but also in order to show my followers that it is possible to get a reply and have some sort of conversations with politicians!

This is a good thing!

That being said however it hardly takes an investigative disposition to see on my blog that I’m not a huge fan of the EU, I consider myself in many ways a European and don’t disagree with continental patriotism, but disagree with some of the radical politics coming out of the EU structure. I strongly disagree with the radical changes imposed upon Europe and see only trouble looming on the horizon since we already have a great deal of troubles.

If something is not working then it would make sense to try to make things work instead of just pretending like everything is ok while going down a dangerous path where more problems are likely.

If it is correct to assume that the EU is increasingly starting to resemble the Soviet Union, which is what its staunchest critics have been saying for God knows how many years, then a natural question is: when will the gulags open?

If someone in Scotland gets prison time for making a silly video of their dog doing a Nazi-salute then where do Europeans stand in terms of freedom of speech & especially on the act of information-sharing so crucial within a so-called democracy?

If only the establishment-press are allowed to have their say then how can you know that they are not just peddling propaganda? Isn’t diversity a good thing? I’m a big supporter of citizen-journalism which sometimes manifest itself as lone individuals with an internet connection just sharing their observations or information they’ve gathered with whomever is interested in listening.

No money is usually involved when a concerned father living in a forgotten territory within Europe decides to upload video footage of some sort of wrong-doing. Concerned people starting petitions and writing about their experiences create something real, something unfiltered, something more relatable.

There is nothing to be gained because these people are not running for office and have other occupations. You therefore feel like you are being warned by a friend or maybe someone who could be your friend or at least; your neighbour.

Whenever a political establishment seek to stomp out civilian voices or pretend that they do not exist one naturally have to ask the question: why?

Humour and comedy meanwhile toggles between the accepted and unaccepted, handing comedians the “privilege“ of exclaiming that the Emperor is without any clothes indeed while still getting away with their heads firmly planted on their shoulders since it was all just a joke after all.

When comedians are cracked down on then there is time to be very concerned.

What can be said of a society that doesn’t laugh? Or is not allowed to laugh? Or a society that is only allowed to laugh on command?

As it turns out though my WordPress-predicament was easily solved by simply contacting the very helpful WordPress-team using their chat box. I was sent a link to my email and now I’m sitting here writing this funny update with everything on my site operational.

So much for the thought-police! Big brother certainly did not come for me today but for all that I know they might do tomorrow depending on whether or not the European continent will stand as a beacon of freedom and human rights or whether it will descend into totalitarianism and the monstrosity that its fiercest critics believe it is becoming. The same can sadly be said of the internet that offers economic opportunities and liberty in plenty as long as it remains free!

To be continued….

The Daily Walk – Read By The Whole World.

wordpress countries

After being under the impression that my most popular blog-year was the 1st one, I find it fascinating that my 4th year is about to become my most popular  blog-year so far.

This is not due to one blog entry going viral, but rather the result of views consistently ticking in every single day from around the globe.

I’ve received some thanks this year and last from people who’ve found my blog posts helpful, I’ve even inspired some of my followers to purchase certain books.

I think that is really cool!

When I took pictures of my Bible as I worked my way through it I received messages from others who thought of it as very inspiring that I was actually reading The Bible, while sharing this with the world.

There was more interaction on this site during the 1st year, but even though more recent posts aren’t drowning in comments, there’s been someone landing on this blog, reading my various entries, every single day.

The only time I experienced no traffic was when I set my own blog to private, which I believe I did for a week last year.

I will break things down in greater detail when I compile my end of year entry, I just thought it was cool to look at this map and to realise that there actually is an increased interest in what I write!

Numbers & What They Reveal When You Blog.

Today it is Sunday and since I’m trying to be a good, civilised, Christian I should not think about work today, or do anything work related. Yet sometimes that can be easier said than done, especially if feeling somewhat inspired….

So today I sang! I love singing and can’t wait to share videos of myself doing the coloratura repertory! So far I’ve been posting “teasers” of myself working on virtuoso arias and with the exception of  “Solveig’s Song” (featured on my #1 Amazon bestselling classical album), I haven’t shared much from my Bel Canto adventure. I’ve used my training to sing my own music, now I’m finally ready to show people the classical side 🙂 😀 😀 Whoop whoop whoop whoop whoop 😀 😀

So today I felt very excited and promoted myself on Instagram, and therefore ended up checking my profile over and over out of curiosity. Would I get likes fast? Would it go slower than usual? Would I get any buzz? Hmmm? Hmmmm?

Then I decided to go to my blog to look at my numbers … what do people really want to read about?

I started this project back in 2015 after fans were requesting a blog. I’m not quite sure what people thought I would be writing about, but it is interesting that my most popular blogging year was the one when I was mainly writing about myself, and myself, and yes; myself, myself, myself, and myself ❤

I was surprised to see that I could have an impact and not be hated by my followers and fans by going all politico in my 2nd year of blogging, I thought that this was kind of cool! I liked that I could have my say without making people upset. I will get back to that a bit further down in my entry….

Now I first want to write about my most popular entries after almost four years of blogging….

As it turns out, it is apparently really cool to write about oneself….

My number one entry of all time is this one: I have a tiny problem. A really silly entry where I got caught up in our dysfunctional pop-culture and decided to “come out of the closet” by self-diagnosing myself with OCD. Yes I know, really great! We all fall flat on our faces sometimes and in this age of ours where we live increasingly online it goes without saying that idiocy can seem ever more prevalent and be blown out of proportion. What can I say? Our world glorify obesity and mental health issues. Everything is normalised and if you act like an idiot or have any quirks, then there is probably a label out there that you can proudly embrace … A fun thing to note is that while mental health issues are popularised to such an extent that everyone now thinks that they have one, (whether they go out with it online or not) terrorism, high school shootings and anything bad is credited to mental health issues………

I’ve become convinced that people are being duped big time with all of this “coming out.” If you are gay; come out, let as many people as possible know. If you are physically unhealthy; celebrate it, do not try to change! Pose! Let the whole world see you in all your splendour! If you have an STD; then let the whole world know! Be proud! Feeling down? Come out with a depression! Do not think about how this can be used against you later! Not sure what you are or where you fit in? Then come out as “alien kin” or stand in solidarity with whatever group!

Quite frankly it sounds like all of this “coming out” sets us up for a massive purge. Want to kill all the gays? Go to the Pride parade or find them online! Want to find the alternative goth people? Go for online communities. I had never heard of a “social media” platform until I had my first “alternative” friend, (which I thought was very cool by the way, since I eventually found a group of people to hang out with who dressed like me and were into the same kind of music like me) she was using a social media platform for Goths. I had the impression that these type of things were of interest to “outsider groups” or people with un-trendy preferences in order to find like-minded people, never in a million years could I have imagined that everyone would plug themselves into some sort of online community. Myself included! I have to say that I thought that Vampire Freaks looked kind of cool when I started an artist page on there; but I quickly lost interest. I prefer real-life interactions actually.

When thinking about the openness that we are currently celebrating in our part of the world, I cannot help but feel that it is some sort of trap. If all of a sudden there is a culture change and/or another less tolerant group invades us, it would be easier I imagine to create lists over “undesirable elements.”

I also find it interesting that my entry above became so popular. It shows how interested people are in gossip and how “pop” it is with dysfunction, especially if it concerns a YouTuber and/or artist. It got plenty of shares as well :/ Awkward to say the least, and evidence to me that there is something odd with our culture since I actually wrote this and put it out there. You are never immune to the influence of the time that you live in. All you can do is repent if guilty of something serious or consciously move away from movements that are unhealthy or dangerous.

My most popular entry two years in a row, and my 2nd most popular entry of all time, is this one: Skin Care. Red Flag Alert!

That is an interesting thing to note when you are not a beauty blogger and you’re not even actively promoting a skin care entry that was written out of curiosity. What can be found within our little bottles of wonder? Well it is obvious that there are plenty of women asking themselves the exact same thing all over the world and that people are conscious of what they put on their skin. Have people always been concerned with this or is it a new phenomenon due to increased focus on eco-friendly products, etc;? That would be interesting to know.

If I was to feed “the machine” and satisfy “the market” I would change my current interests and only write about various beauty products. That would certainly mark a massive change in blogging style but maybe it would turn my blog-hobby into a proper hit?

My 3rd most popular entry of all times is thankfully one about guitar playing. Thank God! I guess I would have been worried if none of my music industry related articles were in the Top 5….This entry has been set to private, since I’m planning on releasing it as part of a proper book. My tips were available for free for a very long time! If people are interested in guitar lessons they can get in touch via my website or my social media 😛 Or even better: go to my Patreon 😛

guitar advice.jpg

My fourth most popular entry of all time is another appearance related one. (Interesting that people are so interested in looks). In this one I was writing from the typical “empowered female” point of view where you tell your haters to sod off and that you have no interest in changing for anyone, or anything. I can’t even remember why I felt inclined to write such a thing? I’ve never suffered from any feelings of inferiority due to my appearance, in fact, I’ve been very laid-back ever since picking up a guitar.

When I was working on my classical album however I wanted to change the design of my uniforms and be more feminine, because I guess that’s what happens if you’ve been in a male-dominated industry for too long. I was always trying to play down my femininity when I was hanging around metal guys in order to not stand out too much. I only really looked great when I was performing. At one point or the other though you’ll get tired of looking androgynous. You will yearn for more skirts, hot pants and high-heels.

It feels more natural to dress up when you have lots of female friends, because you do not want to be the ugly one. If surrounded by teenage boys and intimidating beer drinking metal guys, you’ll probably feel like going more incognito.

This entry has also been set to private since I’ve included  it in a book I want to publish. I find it funny that I made a point of how honest this entry was. Aren’t all of my entries honest? appearance blog .jpg

My 5th most popular entry is about “hopeless musicians.” I created a list with 22 cases of questionable behaviour from weirdos in the rock’n’roll scene. I didn’t mention any names or give out any details, I just wanted to share with the world how difficult it can be to put a band together. I certainly laughed a lot when I wrote it. It was funny and instantly became very popular. I wasn’t trying to be rude, there are just an awful lot of strange scenarios that you’ll find yourself in if you are a solo-artist and you have to get a band. The entry has been set to private and will be published as part of a show-biz book.

So what happened when I decided to go full politico?

At first I was surprised that I could actually have some sort of impact. That there were people out there who agreed with me and that my opinions could actually reach others and maybe even affect their voting! Aha! Who would have thought? Fearing that maybe I would alienate fans I couldn’t believe my eyes when my EU entry became my 2nd most popular entry in 2016 and didn’t get me lynched (at least not yet)!

I’m guessing that it became so popular because it was pro-“the people,” pro-English and profoundly pro-European. I was criticising the sacrifice of health and nationalism on the altar of absolute corporate greed stating that we shouldn’t throw out what labour unions have been fighting for in our part of the world. Most people will be working class anyway, so that can explain the appeal! I was also very supportive of the NHS, a support that I’ve lost after experiencing being ill for a prolonged period of time….

Even though I’ve been a staunch defender of socialised health-care I ended up going private when I stood face to face with health problems myself. I therefore feel that it would be hypocritical of me to still promote something that is clearly not working in our part of the world. It saddens me actually. I wish it could work.

As far as my comments on excessive anti-National-interest corporatism is concerned, I don’t believe that corporations should be allowed to walk all over “the people” or entire Nation States. To me it sounds immoral, just like it sounds wrong that a Nation State shouldn’t be able to control its own food production.

I’m guessing that the EU model looks good on paper but can have catastrophic consequences if food storages are needed in a time of crisis and you as a Nation State have let harvesting opportunities go to waste, due to politically correct arrangements.

Think about all the people who died of hunger in The Soviet Union. We might eventually find ourselves in a similar situation due to extreme weather.

When looking at this entry now I’m guessing that some Americans could feel that the entry was somehow anti-American, but that is not the case. It doesn’t criticise the various population groups in America in any way. I was clearly concerned about corporate America plundering our Nations through a trade agreement with the EU that would have affected its member states without its member states having any say in the matter. I don’t think it is unreasonable to be concerned about such a thing.

As far as food production is concerned it is true that we are generally more paranoid when it comes to pesticides, etc; Is this wrong? I think not. I might be openly conservative but my prepping-project is based on organic, vegan, politically correct, vegetable growing. I’m not going to pretend that the environment doesn’t matter. Just like I can’t pretend that socialised health-care works.

If you want to read my political blog entries you can now read them in my 1st blog book: “Thoughts.”

brexit.jpg

My 4th most popular entry in 2016 was the one I wrote about “The Presidency” after Donald J. Trump’s unexpected victory. I was thrilled that someone finally spoke about bringing manufacturing jobs back to the U.S.A., I wrote about outsourcing and criticised treacherous extreme capitalism, where people only empower the East “leaving the West in a ruin” years ago. I wrote this when I was in my late-teens and couldn’t believe my eyes when a Presidential candidate was concerned with not only this, but also with Urban America.

I read President Donald J. Trump’s “contract with the American people,” and liked it very much, but could certainly see how he would end up being criticised and worked against. I was proven right to a certain degree; only that I based my predictions on his campaign promises and politics alone. That is obviously not what has happened since he’s been spied on and have been dragged into all sorts of scandals, all in the name of getting rid of an annoying political threat. I’ve been quite shocked to see how all sorts of media outlets have ganged up on the current U.S.President to tear him down and get rid of him. I predicted that he would end up being treated like the new George W. Bush. Trump has been in the receiving end of not just that, but a total witch hunt. It is quite something to witness. My “Presidency” entry proved popular, I’m guessing it was alright to people since I revealed that I had previously been a fan of Hillary Clinton … In addition I didn’t trash Barack Obama either, even though I was never a fan…. I kept things civil in other words.

My 2nd most popular entry in 2017 was my short review of the documentary “Empire of Dust.” It surprised me that it became so popular, and in the end I found it so disturbing that this article had a constant presence in my “most read” section, that I set the entry to private. (I’ve now made it public again, after writing an update).

The movie was not very flattering for Africans, but certainly very much so for the Chinese who are moving into the African continent in full force.

I do not come from a place of prejudice or racism and was quite frankly shocked when I found myself exposed to street-level diversity in my teens, as it certainly clashes with the image that is sold to the masses. The truth is that street-level diversity is downright dangerous, something that is seemingly meticulously covered-up by the mainstream media in particular. This is a disturbing realisation as it endangers the public.

I feel incredibly lucky that I survived living in some of the areas that I’ve sadly been exposed to in the past.

Now that I’ve read through my entry again I think it is fairly obvious that I felt awkward about watching this film. It doesn’t look good at all. If you really don’t like black people you’ll probably feel like your instincts have been proven right somehow, but if you don’t come from a place of innate racial hatred, you’ll find this a sad watch.

Africans are about to get colonised once again, but not by the so-called evil “white man,” but by the Chinese.

One can certainly wonder when African tribes will stand up for themselves and take what is theirs. I’m not a fan of replacement migration and destabilization in Europe, but I’m not going to sit here and pretend that I support “probable future abuse of Africa” at the hands of China. If Africans are to stand up for Africa, then they probably have very limited time. What makes the situation even more problematic is the fact that Africa is an extremely diverse continent with lots of different ethnicities that don’t really see eye to eye. An important thing to remember for those who think that all black people are the same, or who want to believe in racial solidarity…..

empire of dust

My favourable review of the communist publication “The Class Struggle ,” was my 8th most popular entry in 2017 which is very interesting when thinking about how many entries I actually wrote last year … A great number of them were actually about the Trump administration and about the Norwegian election, none of these entries made it into my top. 10. That being said there were lots of clicks on my “Home Page/Archives,” but that doesn’t tell me the views on specific articles. It just means that a certain number of people scroll around on my page, and this always represents the majority of views.

Some might scratch their heads wondering why on earth I would give a thumbs up to a radical newspaper such as this one, but the writing was good and a number of the articles showed a National concern rather than a globalist focus. I picked up the paper full of prejudice due to an article I saw about the reformation, where it was suggested that Islam would naturally go through something similar … as if though reformation movements just happen because of global innate human progress….when I started reading the paper from front to back though, I realised that there are a lot of good journalists and writers out there who work for the “reds.”

My 7th most popular entry was a joke post, where my brother and I dressed up like SJWs. I  don’t think anyone understood the humour. We had fun at least….I tried my best to look like a proper left-wing journalist. I think I succeeded.

sjw entry

So far I don’t have a single new blog entry of what I’ve published this year in my Top.10 for 2018. Either I’ve been lousy with my Tweeting or Twitter has shadow banned me, maybe even both for all I know. Last year I was ill and had plenty of time on my hands to write, this year I’ve been very eager to get back to work. I have not written much about myself nor have I published entries about beauty and/or looks. My skin entry is still on number one, but there are a couple of interesting articles from last year that have climbed up in popularity all of a sudden…..

My 3rd most viewed entry so far this year is this one called: Diversity – Why It Is A Complex Issue. What is especially interesting to me is that it was down on the 75th spot last year and I have no idea why it has suddenly gone up. Is there growing interest concerning diversity in our part of the world? It would certainly be understandable, but still, talk about dramatic change.

My 4th most popular entry so far this year is this comical one called: The Degenerate West? It has gone up from the 13th spot last year.

My 7th most popular entry so far this year was my review of “Empire of Dust” before I decided to put it to private. If I had not it would probably have been up there in the Top. 5.

Unless I’m being trolled big time (by some bored tech guy or something 😛) I’m assuming that this growing interest in Western Degeneracy and sudden Demographic Change is organic. There was also a sudden interest in my articles about the increase in Acid Attacks in the UK at one point last year….

Judging from what I wrote in the beginning of this long entry it is obvious that existence is so utterly horrid that people yearn for nothing but distractions. I find it interesting to write about the world and review/analyse the content of books, but I don’t really think that this has a general appeal. In fact it might just make people depressed. When writing about anything political it is probably good to speak from a very populist place rather than posting a sour post like this: When People Can Not Process What They Are Reading., which got a total of nine views last year and is just one step removed from echoing French President Macron’s epic statement along the lines of “people just don’t understand me – I need an interpreter so that I can communicate with real people.”

I’ve also come to understand that my praise of “people mining” meaning: “looking for the best people with the highest brain-power and potential, searching for these characters wherever they may hide;” was slightly ill-informed. I take it back. The Western world has been thinking itself into a coma and this can be credited to the sort of high-performing individuals I alluded to in my “Jupiterian” entry. Maybe it is better to deal with people who don’t think themselves into absurdity but simply act on their gut-feeling and their instincts. It certainly seems like Western experts are thinking and writing themselves and everyone else into total oblivion. It will not be the debaters, writers and/or thinkers who save the West; inventors can find ways to salvage our MicroPlastic Issue and strategists can find a way to protect and defend Western civilisation from itself.

The “experts” will be too busy getting lost inside their own heads to save anything, and will continue to promote ideas that in theory make sense until you plot in the very annoying “human factor,” that for some strange reason always seem to ruin everything.

Would it be far-fetched to suggest that DNA tampering might not improve things either? Probably not; I’m willing to bet that robot-humans would act silly too. Such as writing entries this long. People apparently prefer short entries that get to some sort of point.

And people like positive characters too, just think about all of these positive public speakers (*cough*cough*who are totally not running scams* cough*cough*) who are promising people far and wide that they can change their lives for the better! All you have to do is to give these people your email address or follow them on social media and they’ll share their formula for success! All they post are smiley pictures, everything is cheerful and upbeat, there is no end!

Anyway – Berit-bot is logging out for tonight. This entry is now 3.820 words long. Maybe I will blog about normal-things from now on. How boring. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

The Purpose Of This Blog.

Some people have been asking me lately what the purpose of this blog is?

Well…my reply is pretty much….that there is no underlying purpose to this blog \m/ There is no strategy behind it, it is supposed to be about my life outside of music and it was initially supposed to be funny.

I have to admit that I got my inspiration from somebody else who shall remain nameless…..I though that it would be funny to write the most boring blog ever…That was the initial idea.

At a certain point though I guess I felt inspired to write about some of my experiences in the music industry and those entries proved to be very popular indeed.

Then I wrote a whole bunch of entries about my “10 year guitar anniversary” as I first picked up the instrument in 2005. That makes you think of course. Did I end up doing what I wanted to do? Or did I deviate from my original plan? What was my motivation for picking up the instrument and playing for all those hours in the first place…etc? This resulted in 5 entries in total….yeah…that’s what happens when I start writing about music….

By then the whole blog had become “work-oriented” which is what happens I guess when you do something you are passionate about. You just can’t stop talking about it.

I do find myself though constantly sharing news stories on my private FB, as I read articles that upsets me or moves me etc, then I thought to myself, why not blog about my opinions and share some of the material I read? I liked that I idea a lot. I don’t know how long I will keep it up or how consistent this “new direction” will be but I like it.

Most of my lyrics ( here we go, work again 😛 ) are inspired by things that upsets me in this world, so why not share my views on certain issues? I mean I got myself politically involved when I was just a teen, and when matters of the world first catches your interest at a young age I don’t believe it will ever leave you.

I have realised though, that people looooove anything gossipy, these type of entries appeals massively to people. They can identify with them and whenever I either post an update or a blog that reveals personal information about myself I always see the reach go up. I also receive emails and messages from people who can identify with what I have addressed, which always makes me happy. If me writing about personal things can give other people strength and inspire them I think that’s really awesome 🙂 But if I for example share news articles or anything political on my professional FB, I don’t really get any reach or any interesting comments from anyone at all. To be fair I’ve experienced people making a point of “un-liking” my page and coming with completely irrelevant comments solely based on a hatred or dislike towards the news site I’ve shared an article from. I’m just mentioning this to show the banality of  not even checking out the article, before you unlike an artists page. It’s silly.

Take Senator Rand Paul for example, it doesn’t matter what your political leanings are, he did a phenomenal filibuster about drones a while back. It was fantastic and it excited a lot of young people. I shared a link to this and someone comes and comment about Paul’s supporters…apparently there was a video of a Rand Paul supporter stepping on the head of a “Move.org” or “MoveOn.org “comrade”. I’m saying “comrade” because anyone who has ever done their homework about MoveOn.org will know that they are (or were) a communist organisation. At least that was the case when I was briefly involved with them years ago, if it is the same organisation, that is. I did not know that they were revolutionaries of course, until after I had been involved with them. Anyway, They are one of many groups in the USA who uses political issues to gain support from people who have no idea what their real “agenda” or “core political leanings” are. What does a filibuster about drones have to deal with libertarians crashing with communists? I don’t really see the relevance to be honest. I have no idea, but that’s the kind of eloquent “debate-technique” you have to deal with on social media. Which sort of says it all.

So I’ll use my blog to write about things that takes my fancy or catches my interest, issues that there is no interest for on my official pages 😛

Me promoting a specific guitar brand for example, is way more interesting and popular, because most of my fans are guitar players! It is not uncommon for me to receive messages from people who have bought a specific product after seeing me use and promote said instrument-product. So there is way more interest for that sort of stuff. \m/

This blog, is just my “private little space” in the huge, vast universe that is the inter webs. Here I air opinions that are mine and only mine, even sharing links and discussing articles I find of interest 😛

Purpose? Hmmm…..some people just like to write you know…

Writing from the heart or the guts, depending on the mood.
