Thanks a million to those of you who actually pay for my music and get me into the Amazon music chart again and again! It really means the world to me! Please make sure that you check out my latest guitar video on YouTube where I shred some Bach! If you want to hear a preview of what I’m currently working on, then please sign up for my Patreon ๐ Thanks again for all of the support! I really, really, really appreciate it!!!!! Thank you! โค
Today my manager and I decided to share some behind the scenes LIVE footage with my fans & followers. This footage is from “the secret project” that I was being all mysterious about back in 2016. I was really excited to be doing this, working with some cool people from a serious label; but sadly fell ill with a vicious parasite infection. In addition I also got a shoulder injury in February 2017; so it felt really refreshing to find this video footage and see for myself the form that I was in! It has taken me over a year to finally be well again ๐ฎ It was a major breakthrough when I finally had full movement in my arm, so I’m super stoked to finally be recording and playing again!
You can hear a preview of what I’m currently working on if you sign up to my Patreon page; below you can see the behind the scenes footage from my 3rd session with classical crossover! Thanks a lot to those of you who support what I do!
I also want to notify my followers that there are only some few physical copies left of my “Battle For The Mind” demo, which will soon be out of print (as they are limited edition) & some very few copies still available of my “I Am” album which will soon be out of stock. If you are interested in getting your hands on a copy then make sure that you buy one from my store! Right here!ย ๐
On another note! I’m releasing a new book very soon! This one will be a collection of music related blog entries, published & unpublished ๐ So make sure that you keep an eye on my social media for updates regarding both new music and other projects such as books!
I’m still off guitar playing though and can’t wait to get back. This has been a frustrating experience to put it mildly ๐ฆ
Last month I had yet another amazing TV-experience in my home country ๐ This time I was performing some rock’n’roll, check out the awesome footage below ๐ย โ
And here are some pics from the month that was….goodbye October….enter…November…

When you look like a f%$ยฃ@!* rockstar and have the time of your life \m/ย
2015 was a year with great contrasts to put it mildly. On one hand things were looking perky professionally while things were looking more like Ragnarok privately. These are the highlights from the year that is soon over. I got my fingers crossed that next year will either be as good as this professionally or hopefully even better! As long as it doesn’t get worse I’m happy!
First up: ” My 10 Most Awesome Moments” in 2015.
1- In January I had the great honour of being in the jury of the Norwegian Grammys in the Metal category! I missed out on the red carpet and as I went all alone I didn’t get any pics but it was still awesome to be part of such a gigantic industry event, especially as an unsigned artist ๐
2- Later in January I attended the NAMM show for my second year in a row! This year I preformed for the first time as well, last year I only signed autographs. I also had the great honour of performingย “Dee” at the Randy Rhoades Remembered tribute something I was very thankful for ๐ This was the first time I ever shared the stage with established rockstars and my first time on a stage in the US of A. Thanks again to Brian Tichy for being awesome! I also attended my first red-carpet event in LA as I attended the ” She Rocks Awards” ๐ It was an awesome experience!
3- My original song “Let It Go” from my “Classical Crossover Album” received national radio play on BBC6 ๐ This was something I had never experienced before! I’m still excited about it ๐
5- My album charted in March as number 1 on the Amazon Classical chart! This was something that nearly killed me of joy! My dream has always been to sell music but when stuff like this happens it is always overwhelming ๐ The album kept on bouncing in and out of the charts for the rest of the year ๐
6- I got invited to Guitar World Magazine to shoot “Betcha Can’t Play This” videos for them. As the first Norwegian and the first European woman to ever do so. Only two other female guitarists have ever shot videos exclusively for GW’s YouTube channel ๐ฎ How crazy is that? ย As I was in the USA I also took the trip over to California to shoot videos for EMGtv ๐ I shot 11 videos in total! Doing 5 live videos of my Metal music over at EMG & 6 videos over at Guitar World, which included 4 Betcha Can’t play This from the classical Crossover Album, One Play Through & My first commercial for a brand. During my US trip I also played my very first US gig ๐
7-I did my first Live performance on a radio over at Dacorum Radio!
8- I landed a killer spot on Norway’s number one Saturday night’s TV Show “Stjernekamp” ๐ It’s a brilliant concept where established stars compete each weekend by performing a song each, in a different genre every Saturday. The concept has become a massive hit. I was there as an expert judge and coach in the Metal genre. This was the first time that the genre was included into the program and it honestly was a killer show ๐ It was without a doubt one of the coolest experiences I’ve ever had to be part of such a massive production and give masterclasses to some of Norway’s finest performers ๐ I truly had the time of my life and would love to do more TV ;):)
9- My debut album in metal is done and ready to be released next year.
10- I’ve written a 3rd album ๐ A mystery album that I’m very excited about ๐
My most popular YouTube video this year was my live video for “Evolution” that was released by EMG’s YouTube channel.
My most popular vid released on my own channel, was my version of the incredible masterpiece ” Introduction & Rondo Capriccioso” which is my favourite music video of the ones we have released so far.
In terms of my personal YouTube favourite, I have to say that I’m very happy with my two latest vids as I feel that they really showcase my singing, especially my version of Disney’s ” Once Upon A Dream” from Sleeping Beauty.
Facebook remains my number one marketing tool. This year I signed up for Snapchat ( something I rarely use), Vine ( which I’m not able to get to work) & I’m still on Twitter, even though I’ve never really been a huge Tweet-fan.
This year I started a written blog after people had been suggesting it for years. I posted my first entry in February and started posting regularly the following month, out of 94 blog entries ( including some re-blogs) here are the ones that were my most popular entries. Here are my ” Top 10 Blog Posts Of 2015″.
1)- My most popular entry this year was my “anxiety” & ” OCD” entry. After reading it again I have to admit that it was spot on. I don’t regret writing it even though it was difficult.ย I have a tiny problem.
2)- My second most viewed blog entry was the one about acne and image ย whenย you are a female artist.
3)- My “20 practise tips” entryย was the only one of my 5 ” 10 year Guitar Anniversary” entries to make the list. If you play an instrument I recommend checking it out.
5)- I posted this on my birthday to poke some fun at myself. Here areย 21 Reasons I Suck!
6)- A Year in Selfiesย a recap of my first year on Instagram. Here are my 38 selfies.
7)- Here I trolled my fans a bit. I didn’t reveal in the title what this entry was about. And in fact I won’t do it here either. You can click hereย to check out what it is ๐
8)- Crazy Fans!ย That’sย right. I’ve had my share of creepy experiences and decided to share some freaky stories.
9)- 5 Horrible Peopleย Whoever likes to play God over other people is a scum bag.
10)- This was an entry about me getting back into virtuoso shapeย and how hard it is to play classical violin virtuoso music on the electric guitar.
My personal favourite entries differ a bit from my most popular posts, here are the 5 entries I’m the most happy with.
1)- I think this is one of the most well written pieces I’ve written. Here I compared Orwell’s 1984 to Huxley’s Brave New World.1984 vs. Brave New World
2)- My take on annoying everyday robotsย that we all gotta deal with.
4)- This was a commentary I wrote inspired by a blog entry over at That Metal Show’s FB. This entry is about controversies surrounding the metal scene.
5)- The Art Of Self Expressionย I hate passive aggressive behaviour. If you wanna talk to someone, do it. If you got a problem with someone, say it.
To round-up my annual recap I wasย gonna make a top 10 list over my most popular Instagram posts, that’s when I figured that there was a site that compile your top 9 posts for you.
My first pic to get a 100 likes was a professional pic of me in uniform with my guitar. Out of all the pics I posted on Instagram this year it is my professionally shot guitarists pics that really became popular as well as mini-vids of me playing, let’s not forget my Star Wars pics, so maybe I should get into cosplaying ๐
My personal favourites were pictures of things related to me rather than pictures of me, so my personal top 9 would have looked slightly different.
All in all it was a creative year. I also had 2 trips to the US, travelling all by myself, I also had several trips to Norway.
I was lucky to be lent quite an amazing apartment right on Central Park in New York, I got the rockstar treatment in California as well as in Oslo. I experienced being a guest in Norway’s most exclusive neighbourhood and was also a guest at a proper Cotswolds estate in the UK. Personally speaking these were highlights and obviously I wouldn’t mind having the life of a rockstar 24/7 ๐
This was my 95th entry and my last one for this year.
Take care people & have a Happy New Year!
Fingers crossed next year will be full of positive experiences!
Ever since I came back home I’ve been busy writing on my 3rd album, which is nearly done ๐ ha-ha! Lots of new stuff hitting the world in ’16 ๐
Hmm….My “Daily Walk” route isn’t much to talk about these days in comparison to my previous one. If you guys ever checked out my early entries this year I posted lots of beautiful pics from the English country side….this is my new “walk/run” location…
Things are getting INSANE at the post office….so glad I have started with sending out a “proof of postage” to all my buyers. That way they know it has been sent if they have to wait a little ๐
There is a pub next door ๐
The Dragons are hanging in there. The angry guy with the black beard, seem to think that the whole living room is his territory. So he goes berserk if any other Dragon enters *ehem* “his” room ๐
Selling T-Shirts! There are not that many left folks!
Seriously…I took a break today from my metal-album in the works to re-visit “Zigeunerweisen” & “Introduction & Rondo Capriccioso” and O-M-G do I love this material.
It’s so cool to be able to play this kinda stuff it’s really hard to describe it.It makes me so happy whenever I play this, it’s so intriguing and it makes me so happy when I get it right. I don’t think anything else can compare.
I so wanna do more live gigs with this kinda stuff. It is so much cooler to do the classical guitar meets electric guitar concept, waaaaay cooler than the metal ๐ ha-ha
This is so fucking cool.
This is even cooler. Like, this is my favourite piece to play. I love this so much!
Fun,fun,fun
check out the tango….hmmm…that’s me folks \m/
love love love love love love love love love love this!!!!!!
