Love Thy Neighbour As Thyself………

Standard

The place where I live is absolutely lovely … there is just one tiny, little thing that doesn’t quite work:ย When Your Neighbour Surveils You Without Permission.

Yes that’s right. Back to that minuscule detail again….

This year I decided that I was going to get back to my organic, vegan, vegetable growing practise; but decided to think bigger, and hopefully better. ย This year I have ambitious plans and decided to brave the elements by cleaning out the whole lot. Back in the day when my lovely Dragon was still with me I constantly had to wade through super long, horrible weeds to get to the faucet; but now I decided to annihilate everything in my way. A funny detail to note is that some of my neighbours had decided that they wanted to plant something, but rather than clearing out everything, they just took what they wanted, so as you can tell, I’ve literally surrounded their patches; in addition I’ve also created a new path to make access easy to the aforementioned faucet.

Since I was the only one who bothered to clean up everything, I decided that this is now all mine to do what I want with; but was of course very happy when my family decided to get involved with my expansionist vision. The more the merrier, and the more the more muscle power, which is sorely needed when you’ve decided to clear out other parts of the garden as well! This project has now become a major family affair. This is good news as I’m extremely keen on “prepping.” The preparedness level of people in general is horrendous. Modern people have no idea about how to survive, unless operating within a high-functioning, convenient, modern setting. Remember: we were the only people who had a working fire-place this winter! This enabled us to cook food on the open fire and keep warm when the power was down!!!

While I was engaged in the initial project of clearing out the big patch pictured, even finishing my cleaning business off by crawling on all fours to get the last annoying roots out of my way, a most unpleasant character, with no interest in the vegetable patch at all whatsoever decided to make a guest appearance and harass me, since I had the audacity to sit there and actually clear out the whole thing. I was not the only one who was treated like crap; one of the two gardeners who work at the property was threatened with getting fired since he dared to neglect his garden duties for 5 min. while speaking to me about compost…….

I do not think of it as good taste to write negatively about others or start fights, unless there is a very good reason for it. I was very angry when I published my 1st entry about one of my neighbours; since she was breaking the law by spying on not just me, but everyone else who lives here as well. In addition there were other vicious things; but the spy camera really sealed the deal for me. Even though the police was involved it took forever before the cameras were eventually taken down, in fact the police couldn’t scare her, she actually wrote an email and complained to them about their parking after they had spoken to her … eventually it was some new-comers to the property who managed to get her to remove them; yes she actually added another one after everyone had complained!

That neighbour in particular was so overly contact seeking that I couldn’t walk out of my front door without getting hijacked ย by her every time, in the beginning when I lived here. Wherever I or anyone else in the family went she appeared; and this is someone who has shouted and/or harassed anyone remotely associated with this building. Whether visitors, guests, tenants, owners, contractors, lost tourists, workers; you name it.

The neighbour who decided to pay me a visit and make me feel like crap the other day, was another colourful character who wondered if I had received “permission” to sit there and remove the weeds (that nobody else on the property have bothered about) as if though I was some kind of naughty intruder. The very unpleasant neighbour also appeared but kept herself in the background, since she is not allowed to have any contact with us; she did take the liberty to scold the gardener though, as one does, (if full of crap). A fun fact is that they both came “running” out of the house the second that they saw that we were getting garden tools out to do something in that area. It didn’t even take 10 min. before they came out in full force.

The reason as to why I bother to mention this uninteresting episode is because it illustrates how unfair certain people are in their treatment of others. How arrogant some are. How petty. How conflict seeking, and how difficult it can truly be to deal with such people and situations…

A funny thing to note is that there are others who’ve obsessed a lot over ill-treatment at the hands of the evil people who live on this property, and in such situations it is of course natural to utter things such as: “Don’t think about it” or “just ignore it.”

It is especially a sign of being new to this estate that people cannot stop talking about how the place seems like a mental-asylum … I truly have no idea why people would get that impression….*cough*cough*cough*

Yet yesterday I found myself in the same situation that so many others have found themselves in. I really struggled to let go and not talk about the pettiness and bad behaviour.

It was a reminder of how some people seem to just exist to be a pest to all of those unfortunate enough to be around them; and the worst part is that if you don’t stand your ground and speak up for yourself you’ll only lose. You’ll literally be forced into a conflict situation by petty people who have nothing better to do with their time but to make others feel miserable.ย What a waste of everyone’s time and energy. What a waste indeed.

Maintaining Positivity In A Culture Dominated by Negativity.

Standard

Ironically enough I’ve found faith while simultaneously losing faith over the last few years since I started blogging and reacting to events unfolding on both sides of the Atlantic. I’ve ย been doubting our secular values and constructs more and more, and while this has been happening my heart has increasingly opened up to spirituality, which is interesting.

Yesterday I decided to read my own Lyric Book to see what sort of message I’ve been projecting in the past, and it gave me a certain sense of comfort and relief to see that I was funnily enough broadcasting sentiments that I wasn’t even aware of could be perceived as spiritual in nature. I am happy to see that I was aligning myself with positive energy, criticising negative and destructive forces detrimental to us all.

When reading through my long blog entries on here, out of fear that some of these posts might potentially fuel negative energy, I couldn’t fail to notice how ridiculous a lot of the source-articles that inspired my entries now seem, even though they are not that old at all. It is very, very, obvious, that fear mongering and catastrophic scenarios are constantly being brought up; Brexit would be the cause of WW3! Everyone would instantly die of cancer! Mass panic could be sensed everywhere with the election of Trump, as if though Trump + Brexit would equal instant apocalypse for everyone, everywhere! I ridiculed these sensationalist sentiments; and I believe that a great number of people will look back at “the public discourse” thinking of it as silly. It is good for an instance to see that politicians are now all of a sudden openly discussing topics that just some years ago were seen as off-limits. It shows how quickly things can change. Hopefully this will tackle chaotic conditions on both sides of the Atlantic and in the rest of the world. I fail to see why people would be keen on destabilization; I’m not a fan.

Negative news stories broadcasting acts of evil, with journalists moaning our imminent demise cannot possibly be seen as particularly uplifting material, and when one thinks about how massive this negativity-assault is on our senses it certainly raises some questions.

It has become increasingly obvious to me that a re-connection to spirituality and family values is the solution. Reading about something like this for example is horrendous, the same can be said of the focus on the latest lone-wolf gun-man in the U.S.A. It is important to always remember that wherever there is destructive, hateful, energy, there will also be a positive one. An example of this could be those who heroically saved their fellow students in Florida, or in a war setting: Oskar Schindler’s bravery in helping persecuted Jews.

I received a book for Christmas written by someone I fundamentally disagree with politically, but his assessment of those on the right-political spectrum is probably very accurate; conservatives react to the antics of politically creatives on the left, who want to shake things up with all sorts of strange ideas. My entries are no different; they are reactions to what is happening, since I do not approve. I do however sense that things might not become as gloomy as many fear. I have a hunch.

If you feel down and don’t like the direction that your country is moving in you should try to get involved with something; I’m assuming that when somebody loses it, they have all of this pent-up aggression and internal negativity that just spills over turning them into agents of chaos. Strange really if you think about how the criminal acts of political terrorists always outshines whatever message they allegedly want to get out there. If you want to change the world it is probably more productive to read about Rosa Parks. Those who want to change things need a network and a proper plan.ย Help Those In Need.
