This is how it looks like when Facebook screws you over…

facebook boycot

The amount of people who pre-order my album once they hear about it is really good, the challenge is to get the word out there … so please share my links with all of your friends and/or followers!

When I thought that things couldn’t get any worse on Facebook, the thumbnail from my music video just disappeared, which is an even more shitty thing to do….

You pick a photo that you think will entice people to click on your link…I’m not sure whose gonna be interested in clicking on a post like that ↑

It would also be nice if it was possible to reach all of those individuals who’ve liked my page and interacted with my content in the past! Remember, I’ve run two successful crowdfunding campaigns mainly trough Facebook, so I’m not quite sure what to make of the fact that they now not only limit your reach but also want to “blackmail” you in order for you to reach existing fans….

It reminds me of the death of Myspace and other social media sites…..

It’s really annoying, since I obviously want as many people as possible to know about my upcoming album release!

I’ve now experienced mysterious issues with Facebook, Twitter & YouTube  in addition to an avalanche of strange accounts contacting me on Instagram.

So please help me bypass this idiocy by telling your friends about my work!

“Stay With Me” – video shoot.

I’m so excited after tonight’s video shoot that I cannot fall asleep!

I’m pretty sure this is why pubs were invented, for those moments when you are incredibly happy and stoked.

Makes me think of the very first video shoot that I ever did, when I ended up being awake the whole night since I was so high up. I wasn’t celebrating with anyone though, I was just laying on the couch in the living room with the world’s biggest smile ever.

Tonight was another reminder of how incredibly lucky we are to have the sort of gadgets that we have at our disposal. The amount of “things” that you can do on your own is staggering!

I’m incredible grateful for the “family effort” tonight and the fact that I have the immediate family that I have. 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂

Artists before me didn’t have access to YouTube, so you would only hear of those who obtained publishing/recording deals, people could not record their music without spending a substantial amount of money and there was no way that you could create the sort of videos that people can now make in their living rooms.

As a creative spirit I have to say that it excites me to no end, that it is possible to overcome all sorts of traditional “obstacles” to get your own, original music out there!

Even personal obstacles; such as not knowing how to write notation, can be bypassed! Back in the ancient days of the composers they had no way of recording their music, so they had to know how to write it all down.

I remember my joy when I received a digital camera for Christmas back in 2006, since it enabled me to record my ideas on the spot! I would sit with the camera on my knees, while playing the guitar and signing, so that I could get some “drafts” down whenever an idea emerged!

Likewise I was happy beyond happy when I received an old, worn out, cassette player/recorder, when I first arrived to the U.S.A. as a teenager, since this made it possible for me to record my ideas.

I was the only one of my musician friends who didn’t have any digital recording equipment, so you can imagine my joy when I finally obtained Studio One and a Presonus interface back in 2007/2008. I saved up money to buy it and received an old computer from a relative, which meant that I now had an even better way of documenting ideas as they came to me. Still I had no idea how to use it and was not the musician that I am today. I was also doing a very different style of music. Yet ideas are ideas and have to be plotted down somewhere, before they disappear.

I have lots of butterflies now that “Berit – Vol.1” it’s nearing its completion! And once it is out there, the thank you list will be remarkably short, which will probably make me even more fond of the “product.”

Then again, album one will not be finished unless I get some sleep, on the other hand: what is life without those moments when your are so happy that you don’t even know where to place yourself, what to say, or what to do!

PS. If you like my artistry you can follow my monthly video blog for only 1$ & unlock all of the other videos that I’ve released so far as well! I just made two new update videos this weekend! Follow me as I work!

Online Hauntings, Abuse & Ethics.

Lats year I decided to phone up a good old friend of mine who I hadn’t really spoken to properly in ages. It was a great chat but it was also an educational one for me, since my friend couldn’t get over the fact that she had been in an abusive relationship. She kept on going and going and going about this negative experience.

It confirmed to me that when a negative experience is true, the victim of it (whether the person(s) like(s) to consider themselves a victim or not) will never get over it, or might ease out of it after first mentally obsessing over it, only to then talk about it on “repeat” with friends or family members, before finally letting it go.

After this act of emotional “processing” the trauma or negative experience falls into the psychological “archive” department and might be re-ignited due to association if a similar situation occur in the future. Thankfully the memory goes into “sleep mode” or retreats to a dormant state, even though it is still there, buried within the mental jungle.

Just like I’ve witnessed other people get stuck in this sort mental and emotional  “loop,” I also experienced something similar after the successful “trolling” of me online back in 2015.

When I first became aware of that it wasn’t just me that was accessing my social media profiles I had my list of suspects, which is probably why I was just annoyed but not necessarily alarmed….

I previously wrote about how the number of shares on my blog entries were drastically reduced over night, after my birthday entry in 2015. I had previously also spoken about how lame it was that I had issues with promoting a military-themed music video in late 2013.

As far as the social media “trolling” was concerned I thought that a friend of mine was pulling my leg, and thought at first that it was an American editor character. When I realised that maybe I was mistaken, I had another prime suspect that had lurked in the back of my mind for quite a while; an industry character that I had worked with in the past, who also works on programming and was/is involved with a confidential project for the U.S.Government.

(Talk about the perfect storm for a conspiracy theory).

Last on my short list was another show biz character who is involved with a cult notorious for spying on its members…

If anyone of my readers watched the TV show “Hannibal” you might remember the “alternative” (to put it mildly) friendship between Graham & Dr.Lecter. For those who have read a little bit about criminal profiling it isn’t uncommon for guilty people to express their concern and be remarkably helpful, even towards those that they’ve hurt.

Visiting the families of those they’ve killed is one example, feigning empathy.

It was therefore not strange that I suspected some show-biz characters that I had bumped into…

At a certain point though it really started to piss me off that someone was having a laugh on my behalf, trolling and pestering me big time, without me being able to get the weirdo to stop. I actually suffered from sleep -Apnea for a little while, since I had no idea who was messing around with me.

Was it a dangerous criminal from the high-security prison I had performed in? Was it a bored Google or Facebook employee? A bored NSA or GCHQ employee? A random fan with tech-abilities? A crazed, mad show biz person obsessed with my person for whatever psycho-reason?

There was no way for me to know.

My misery reached its peak when I was in the mountains of Norway and it dawned upon me that whoever was tormenting me probably knew where in the world I was due to my phone. It was a low point where I stayed awake the whole night and even decided to put a knife under my pillow, just in case.

After succeeding in frightening me the nuisance stopped after 5 months.

I wrote about the experience and certainly talked about it.

It seemed like the insanity had come to an end, but I was still wondering what on earth that whole thing had been about, since I never really figured out who was behind it.

In 2016 I noticed some awkward things, but just brushed it aside. I took screen shots and shared these online if there was anything weird and just kept on going with my “secret project.”

In 2017 I started to wonder if my online stalker had left me at all, or if the person in question had just gone into “stealth mode” since I was logged out of my Instagram account repeatedly without me doing it. I even experienced my Instagram starting to live a life of its own, while I was on it. My computer also had some strange moments, but I did not really think too much about it and just shrugged it off.

Then in November 2017 I was catapulted straight back into how I felt in 2015 when the social media craziness erupted once again while I was in Norway to attend the funeral of my grandfather … What ensued was even worse than last time, and it hit its peak after some blog entries I had written about the current U.S.President in December 2017, which made me wonder if I was being stalked by a total Trump/Conservative hater, who now had even greater reasons for loathing me. I also started to ponder if I was dealing with a “machine,” or simply put a “bot,” since some of these can be programmed to literally “haunt” you online.

You feed information to the machine and the machine throws it all back at you, or can use it against you somehow.

I have/had a hard time believing all the trolling was/is simply “machine-based” though, I’m pretty confident there is/was some flesh and blood behind it; which would be the case regardless as someone sent this thing my way.

Crazy.

I have no idea why I was targeted. It would be easy to say that it was politics but that wouldn’t ring true for 2015.

After the Facebook scandal I deleted my account since it then dawned upon me that my data could have ended up anywhere. If my data was abused, which I’m guessing was the case, I’m guessing once again that it was all done “in the name of research.”

If I wasn’t the only target then I’m guessing that we’ll see massive law suits in the future from angry social media users pissed off that their personal relationships were compromised, their data used against them and their emotional well-being manipulated by invisible “trolls” online.

What you put out in the world comes back to you. Especially un-ethical behaviour if it is on a large, organised scale.

The Death Of Privacy & Humanity.

Google already secured access to patient data from the NHS in England. (I mentioned this on my Instagram when the news was  fresh). Facebook wants to do the same: Facebook wants to know everything about you. The official reason is of course that this is all being done for the greater good … this is always the official reason behind any social and governmental adjustments….regardless of the consequences or lives lost in the process….

I guess I was one of those who had my feed manipulated (if you read the article I just linked to, you’ll see what I mean); I noticed it though and figured it out straight away. I experienced having all of my social media tampered with; in fact this has been an on and off issue since 2015. Back then I thought I was being pranked by someone I knew; before it finally dawned on me that it could have been anyone. I wasn’t sure if I was being targeted by a real person or a bot run amok, if I was dealing with one individual or several, and hopefully I’ll never know, since I was really freaked out by my digital stalker. To be or not to be human, it matters little, the effect is the same if you get spooked out online. It should be possible to use social media without acquiring a phone-phobia. I changed my passwords several times daily, but to no avail. And in the end I figured that I could might as well share what I was reading online and write about all sorts of things, since privacy is completely dead.

It has been dead for a while due to how people use their gadgets, and share private conversations and photos.

The gigantic, global, people-registers that have been created should frighten people far and wide. I’ve deleted my personal Facebook account and rarely use my phone anymore, which is being stored in a completely different part of the flat where I live.

Meanwhile Elon Musk warns about a potential future A.I. Dictator; what he describes though sounds an awful lot like God; who knows your thoughts, your feelings, your social network, all your whereabouts, a God that you can never escape from or hide anything from. What he describes has already been described several times through the ages; so if you believe in spirituality, then this is rather a power-shift, where humans try to be smart by creating their own God, bypassing the original system, revolting against the established, celestial, universal order.

I doubt that Musk’s trans-human vision will bear fruit, unless he and his ilk can figure out a way to control the weather and the cosmic super-powers. For all we know we might be heading for a reset, since the planet has been reset several times before. I personally believe that this tech of ours has to be destroyed before it kills us in one way or another.

To put it this way; if an ideal employee can be created to do manual tasks, then why on earth will a human work-force still be needed? We are possibly looking at a future where we make millions of humans redundant, at a point in time where there is a problem of over-population. There should be no need to point out how that issue probably will play out.

Dramatic climate change might be the best thing that can happen to humanity and the planet.

My last list of Digital Articles to Read – as I’ve moved on to Myths & Theology.

There is always plenty out there to read, whether “acoustic reading” or the more modern sort. There is no doubt in my mind what I prefer.

These type of digital articles that I’m linking to all share that in common that they display the struggles and conflicts of men, and the troubles that we face in our everyday lives around the world. I’ve decided to re-focus on creation myths etc; as I had gathered a nice collection of books, before I got distracted I guess. It takes a very long time to read the Holy Bible for example, especially because I always end up taking notes and googling certain sections to see what interpretations that can be found. I now also have in my hand The Prose Edda from Snorri Sturluson courtesy of my brother. The introduction includes this interesting passage:

I know that I hung, on the wind-swept tree

all nine nights, with spear was I wounded

and given to Odin, myself to me,

on that tree which no one knows

from which roots it grows.

Bread I was not given, no drink from the horn,

downwards I glared; up I pulled the runes,

screaming I took them, from there I fell back again.

It’s all very intriguing. Anyway here is a little reading list of interesting material found within our digital landscape…

After realising that my online reading habits could be tracked by others anyway, and that passwords are futile. I realised that I could might as well share and write about what I was reading. I’ve been pretty open about my negative experiences with tech, little did I know though how easy it is to lose control of gadgets,. I also wonder how you can report this type of incidents as the crime of hacking seems rather murky. It gets so personal when you carry your phone with you everywhere, and whatnot. So it certainly feels intrusive. Yet the side-effects of our digital relationships are nothing short of alarming: Read This.

Interesting; I don’t think I ever saw any warning labels on my Nokia phones when I was little? Thank goodness that I didn’t have any devices for some years, yet we are all exposed to wifi. How healthy is that I wonder? I don’t know if others have noticed but people’s attention span seems to be dead. Cellphone usage is the smoking of our age. Read This.

Not to forget the data-mining/collection happening through friendly, free to join social media sites. Everything from dating sites, blogging sites, games, apps; it can all be used to map and analyse human behaviour and thinking. It is the ultimate spy tool for people who cannot read your mind, but wish they could. It’s a trap; it sucks that it has to be used to promote products and  whatever business one might have. Considering the effects devices have on memories, focus and the cancer risk, in addition to the data-collection, do you really want to spend that much time online? Nope I didn’t think so. Stay off the internet unless you have to be on it for work. 1984

An article  in Norwegian about sexual harassment towards working women. The MeToo Campaign Spreads.

This is an extremely interesting article in Norwegian addressing the issue faced by the Norwegian police as they try to uphold the law of the country in areas heavily populated by immigrant youths, etc; They are worked against by post-modern academics, a lot of them female funny enough, who seem to blame the police for the criminal behaviour of the gangs. This desire to frame the authorities as racist, while portraying the foreign perpetrators as victims, create a hopeless culture, where anarchy is allowed free rein. I also heard not that long ago that the police officially came out and apologised or explained that they had lied about crime statistics. I actually saw the press conference/video of this, but will have to find the link/article a bit later. It is of great interest though. There are people who try to keep  something together that is obviously not meant to be; and as they press on the fragmentation increases. And speaking of which….

….the post-modern social conditioning or narrative is failing among the young. Incredibly enough my sister, who has literally been an almost Anti-Christ-like character at her school due to her questioning of our current politically correct orthodoxies, can now report that nationalism, patriotism and traditionalism is becoming visible among her fellow school pupils, as the current doctrine pushed by post-modern hippie teachers is becoming increasingly rejected as youngsters have had enough. The latest shock statement came from young people stating that if people hate England then they should get the hell out. Really? But I thought self-hate and alternative identity movements was the new way forward? The change has happened relatively quickly too, the young people are turning around. This is actually good news, if you like England and want the country to have a solid future….

I’m starting to feel that my predictions have been too apocalyptic. Only social constructs that align with human nature can function in the long run, unless you are to change human nature, and even if you try there will be those who reject it. Small things can make a thinking soul happy; and the rejection of post-modernism and the death of the delusional ideas preached by its teachers make me fly; just like the face of disbelief of some of those who were reading the results of the Brexit vote. Complete disbelief that the vote had turned out completely different from what they thought.

That is the danger of unbalanced perceptions of reality; shock ensues when election results come in, because people have started to believe a skewed, fake, narrative. And the self-proclaimed keepers of truth are the ones the most shocked as they’ve started to believe their own creation of delusion. I have faith in the future, because of the young, and because the current status quo lacks depth, meaning and strength. It cannot give man, what man needs, and because of this it will not last long. We will return to old truths that have been there since times of old in one way or another.

This is an article in Norwegian about political intolerance in Norway directed towards conservative voters and the hate and ridicule that openly anti-reds have to endure. It is quite an astonishing read and actually resonates with this entry of mine: US Defence Secretary Mattis, President Trump, Feminism, Intolerance & Reading Lists.

Norwegians should be ashamed of themselves since our immigration minister is as strict as she is. Of course the author of this article does not want to acknowledge the cultural risk of taking in people from alien cultures and compares the refugees of today to those from WW2. There are major ethnic differences between Europeans, I think our former conflicts bear witness to that. Why people like this guy would choose to look away from that fact and condemn those who try to protect their national identity and integrity is interesting. That type of belief can only be valid if one believes that our national identities are nothing but divisive illusions, and that our disagreements can be melted away if we awaken to this fact. Different frequencies of traits are deeply embedded within us, unless we are meant to look at visible differences as optical illusions and science regarding genetics as fraudulent lies. Or we can of course look at the body as a prison and look at the soul directly. When broken down to a spiritual level then maybe his theory makes sense; but why would you believe in spirits and souls if you’re an atheist or post-modernist? You will have to acknowledge the spiritual, which many don’t.

Here are some quotes from an interesting article:

“The internal memos also confirm how Monsanto exerted pressure. David Saltmiras, a Monsanto expert at the time, boasted that he had “successfully facilitated numerous third party letters to the editor.” He described his actions as being “in our own best interest” and as “the last rites for Séralini’s few remaining shreds of credibility.

The company hired a team of researchers and lobbying experts hoping to “orchestrate outcry,” and discredit the IARC as an organization with a history of “questionable and politically charged rulings.”

“Monsanto would do everything possible to protect its product, Roundup,” says Daniel Boese of the Avaaz civic organization. The company deceived consumers and influenced expert opinions for years, he explains. According to Boese, Monsanto “destroys scientific safety mechanisms that the public actually relies on,” and its lobbying influence is enormous. For instance, portions of the BfR’s glyphosate report are taken from documents from the Glyphosate Task Force, a Monsanto-led industry association. The BfR rejects the accusation of plagiarism.

In any case, Europe’s farmers would be well advised to consider the fate of Jack McCall, whose widow Teri is one of the plaintiffs in the United States. The California farmer had sprayed Roundup in his orchards for decades, where he was often accompanied by a loyal companion: his dog Duke. Duke died of lymphoma. McCall died of non-Hodgkin lymphoma a few years later.”

(good to know when living in the country…)disgusting :/

Here you can read about a very interesting archaeological find. I’ve highlighted the address to the article at the bottom of the quote:

“Behind the low-key announcement of the find, one can almost sense the mixed feelings of Saudi officials faced with an important discovery for their heritage, which, however, seems to connect the origins of the alphabet used to pen their sacred book to a Christian context, some 150 years before the rise of Islam.
Further consternation may have arisen when realizing that these texts are not only the legacy of a once-numerous Christian community, but are also linked to the story of an ancient Jewish kingdom that once ruled over much of what is today Yemen and Saudi Arabia.

Jews vs. Christians in the desert
While the Koran and later Muslim tradition make no bones about the presence of Jewish and Christian communities across the peninsula in Mohammed’s day, the general picture that is painted of pre-Islamic Arabia is one of chaos and anarchy. The region is described as being dominated by jahilliyah – ignorance – lawlessness, illiteracy and barbaric pagan cults.
The decades immediately before the start of the Islamic calendar (marked by Mohammed’s “hijra” – migration – from Mecca to Medina in 622 CE) were marked by a weakening of societies and centralized states in Europe and the Middle East, partly due to a plague pandemic and the incessant  warfare between the Byzantine and Persian empires.
The bleak representation of pre-Islamic Arabia was less an accurate description, it seems, than a literary metaphor to emphasize the unifying and enlightening power of Mohammed’s message.
Reexamination of works by Muslim and Christian chroniclers in recent years, as well as finds like the one in Saudi Arabia, are producing a much more elaborate picture, leading scholars to rediscover the rich and complex history of the region before the rise of Islam.

Through Christian and Muslim rule, Jews continued to be a strong presence in the Arabian Peninsula. This is clear not only from Mohammed’s (often conflictual) dealings with them, but also from the influence that Judaism had on the new religion’s rituals and prohibitions (daily prayers, circumcision, ritual purity, pilgrimage, charity, ban on images and eating pork).
In Yemen, the heartland of the Himyarites, the Jewish community endured through centuries of persecution, until 1949-1950, when almost all its remaining members – around 50,000 – were airlifted to Israel in Operation Magic Carpet. And while they maintain some unique rituals and traditions, which set them apart from Ashkenazi and Sephardi Jews, no one would doubt that they are indeed, the last, very much Jewish descendants of the lost kingdom of Himyar.”

A “Nazi-Grandma.”

Nazi in the USA

The Truman Doctrine.

The Marshall Plan.

Firefighters in Sweden had to be escorted by armed police in order to extinguish fires within a no-go zone.

A crazy story about quite a weirdo– displaying how easily you can make billions as a good-looking woman even if you’re a fraud…incredible. Watch this video as well.

An article in Norwegian about the rights of pedophiles who don’t attack children.

This is the sort of controversy we get in Norway. Farmers are pissed off because of the wolf drawing on this milk carton. They find it offensive since they want the wolf gone.

More about Operation Gladio, I haven’t watched the videos in the link, but I will later. It’s an interesting topic to read about.

There are so many things that divide us; I wonder what could possibly unite all of mankind? Nothing; you would have to create a new man; man as we know him would have to be destroyed. Even within a religious narrative of love there will be outsiders, heretics, enemies and whatnot.

You can never read, think, question, or create enough.
