The Happy Saga!

Standard

The glorious saga of me charting and selling music is still going strong ๐Ÿ™‚ After weeks of charting on Amazon.com with my 2014 release “2 Guitars – The Classical Crossover Album” I’m back in the top 10 once again! As I’ve already said in previous blog posts it has been going in and out of the charts since its release in late 2014, being in the top 5 countless times, even hitting nr.1 ๐Ÿ™‚

It makes me VERY HAPPY to see how popular this idea is and I’m looking very much forward to releasing new material!

My manager and I were able to create a great buzz when I was doing Heavy Metal in the beginning of my career, we scratched our heads a bit since the music industry wasn’t really catching on to what we did, it didn’t really make much sense when you think about how much Metal bands normally struggle and how long it takes for these acts to break even when given the opportunity to release their material on a label! I successfully crossed over in late 2013 into classical music and have proven my worth continuously from my 1st single release to my full length album. I was dealing with a Major Label in 2016 working on something very exciting and classical related, but sadly became ill and lost over a year of my life to poor health. It therefore makes me extra happy to see that my release is still hanging in there for weeks at a time and that my latest video on YouTube passed 50k views yesterday!

It proves that we are doing something very right in an age where people complain about not selling records. Selling physical records was never an issue for me, or it hasn’t been to date. I feel very optimistic about the future when I see my numbers despite having a limited reach on my Facebook. That social media platform in particular used to be very important to me, and I think it is a great shame that you are being put in the position of “follower blackmail” as the social media giant keep on tightening its grip. It’s a shame for small, independent businesses and “free thinkers.”

It is good news however to see that my latest video could get good views so quickly without any mainstream media exposure; I’m grateful that Truth In Shredding gave me a mention and thank them for that, now I’m waiting to see if any of the big guys will actually catch on to this. The meme isn’t dying, at least not for now.

I’m looking forward to releasing new music! What I will release next will be original material, for the simple reason that I’ve been ill for a while and wanted to come back to music doing something that was a bit lighter, the second that I’m done with my 3rd album I will get back to classical!

Thanks again to those of you who pay for my work and keep an eye on what I’m doing! If you want to support my creative endeavours and hear new music as well, then please check out my Patreon ๐Ÿ™‚ Thanks a million! โค

I’m also charting on Easy Listening!

A 30 min Guitar Lesson Video + More New Music!

Standard

Today I released a 30 min guitar lesson video for those who pay 10$ and up on my Patreon account! I also released my 2nd update for this month; so if you want to hear more music from my 3rd album then make sure that you sign up here:ย My Patreon!

Yesterday before I went to bed I saw that myย classical albumย had jumped up on the Amazon Bestseller chart after falling down. On the 22nd it was down on 44, yesterday it was up on 29, and now it had gone up to 27! That is really cool since albums usually don’t chart that long for independent artists! Earlier this year it was hanging in there for over 2 weeks on the chart, and without any new videos or anything! I clearly have to release more classical recordings! But first I’m going to put out a whole bunch of original material that I feel very strongly about! ๐Ÿ˜› Make sure that you check out my Rock’n’Roll music as well ๐Ÿ˜›

Thanks again to all these Americans who buy my music!!! The U.S.A. have always been my nr.1 country when it comes to fans, followers & buyers! โค Thanks a million & God Bless!!!!!

Public Feuds in Rock’n’Roll.

I came across this sad read about infamous feuds in Rock music today. Bizarre. Such a shame that people are so naturally conflict seeking.ย Music & Arguments.

2016 – The Year In Review.

Standard

2016 was a year of welcomed stability as my mother re-married and we finally regained a traditional family structure. It has been great to see the effect it has had on my younger siblings ๐Ÿ™‚ The year also brought with it an abundance of bad news health wise as pets and family members, young and old suffered from prolonged illnesses resulting in some loved ones leaving us for good ๐Ÿ˜ฆ My year was dominated by a secret project that I hope will result in a major announcement very soon, so keep your fingers crossed for me! Here are the highlights from the year that was:

  1. The Secret Project. ย This took up the majority of the year and resulted in some truly awesome material! I hope I get to share it with you guys soon!!!ย cicimage
  2. Senkveld Norway. This was the first time I actually rocked out on TV so that was really awesome! I’ve been on various tv-shows in my home country before but I had never done anything like this before ๐Ÿ˜‰

    senkveld

  3. BBC3. My first time shredding on National Radio in the UK! I had one of my original songs aired on BBC6 last year, I’ve previously been a guest on BBC Berkshire, but BBC3 is the biggest radio show I’ve done so far, so keep an eye on BBC3 & Tom Service ย on January the 15th 2017! ๐Ÿ˜‰
  4. Laney box in Argentina. The first time my face was featured on a product from a major brand! I had no idea they did this!laney-argentinalaney-box
  5. “She Rocks” commercial. I thought that this was quite cool, here I am in good company on the red carpet in L.A.
  6. “Paganini Cap.24” going viral on FB. Even though my music video for Caprice 24 was originally released in 2014 on Youtube, a site in Mexico decided to share it on their Facebook page this year, which resulted in the video piling up views quickly on the social media site ๐Ÿ˜‰ I was very happy to see the video going viral again gaining some new ground!ย m:
  7. The Metal album. In April this year I finally released my first metal album “I Am.” So far I’ve released 2 music videos from it; my re-work of “Immigrant Song” which was mentioned in Classic Rock Magazine and “If The Dead Ones Could Talk” which was re-tweeted by the author who inspired me to write the track. If you haven’t checked out the album yet make sure that you do!ย imageimg_0993
  8. I completed pre-production for album 3. During the two first months of the year I completed the arrangements and demos of a body of work that I’ve given the work title “album 3.”
  9. The album with Craig. “2 Guitars – The Classical Crossover Album” charted again this year several times which of course makes me very happy. It has continuously been in the charts since its release in December 2014!amazon-octoberimage
  10. I shared the stage with Craig again! This year I did some pretty cool private gigs in beautiful settings, this also involved playing live with Craig again which was amazing. The concept of the electric guitar vs. the classical is something that I’m really proud of.

My top blog entries this year:

  1. 28 Pictures of Severus Snape.ย This entry was my most popular this year. โค
  2. Stop The Apocalypse.. I was surprised to see the support from my fans, I honestly thought that everyone would disagree with me.
  3. Wedding Pictures + Other Pictures Taken In June.
  4. The Presidency.ย I’m amazed at how immaturely the election was handled by many. What a circus. It cannot be easy when the chief manipulators of popular sentiment all of a sudden lose. What happened to all of those celebrities who were going to move to Canada? And why Canada? Why not Mexico?
  5. Goodbye August, Hello September!
  6. How To Have Fun โ€“ According to Moi.. Me being happy about my artistic progress ๐Ÿ™‚
  7. I LOVE to play guitar.ย In case you wondered….
  8. AND THE WINNER ISโ€ฆ... This competition had lots of people baffled.
  9. NATIONAL TV-SHOW IN NORWAY !!!ย I had a blast doing this!
  10. 20 PRACTISE TIPS FOR GUITARISTS!!!!!! ( Part 3/5 of my โ€œ10 year Guitar Anniversaryโ€ entries ).. This blog entry from last year made this year’s list as well!ย 10494643_744867412219321_4820103340371772166_n

It’s hard to pick a personal favourite among my blog entries as I’m very happy with the direction my writing has taken. My entries were more entertaining last year, but there are plenty of people who provide “light content.” I wish that the world was a perfect place but it isn’t, if I was to have one “new year’s wish,” I would want the general western pop-culture to change fromย ethnomasochism & negativity to pride & positivity.ย

  1. Opinionsโ€ฆ.
  2. Tears & Self Hate Is The Remedy.
  3. The Complexity Of Citizenship & Governance.
  4. Capitalism & Evidence Against The Myth That Only White People Are Guilty Of Colonialism.
  5. Fear.
  6. White Like Snow.
  7. The Battle That Canโ€™t Be Won.
  8. Charlie Hebdo & Blasphemy.
  9. Minimalism.
  10. Identity.
